Are you looking for something fun to do this weekend?
Country Club Bar
The Country Club Bar boasts that it offers the eclectic vibe of Austin’s Sixth Street and musical chops that would be at home in Nashville. Nestled in the Wrigleyville neighborhood, the bar is open Wednesday through Sunday until 2:00 a.m. Guests enjoy their time in a rustic atmosphere featuring dim lighting and wood accents. When they’re not dancing, they can order off the menu featuring dishes made from the finest, freshest ingredients. Offerings include beer can chicken, Texas-style hot links, and fried chicken tacos. And they all pair well with a pint of Goose Island Green Line.
Step into Big Star where you’ll find a beer-focused, taco-slinging honky-tonk. It’s located inside an old 1940s gas station and plays classic country and rock and roll tunes. The bar is open nightly until 2:00 a.m so guests have plenty of time to enjoy their night inside or on the patio. Tacos include pollo, pescado, and carne asada. Big Star is noted for its sizeable beer list with choices such as Goose Island Matilda and selections from Revolution’s League of Heroes.
Bub City is Chicago’s go-to destination for whiskey, barbecue, and live country music. There are over 125 different whiskeys from well-known distilleries, and the mouthwatering dishes have everyone coming back for more. The dining room is cozy and features an American flag made of beer cans. Menu offerings include crispy barbecue chicken, Chicago-style baby back ribs, and Texas hot links.
