Have you seen movies such asĀ My Best Friend’s Wedding, Road to Perdition, and The Untouchables? Then you probably recognized some of the buildings that call Chicago home.

Over the years, many of Hollywood’s biggest actors have shot scenes in and around the city.

The best part? They’re all just a short drive from Mondial River West. A few of the most recognizable filming locations inĀ Chicago include:

Victory Gardens Biograph Theater

The Victory Gardens Biograph Theater is one of Chicago’s most celebrated historic landmarks, and it’s where Johnny Depp’s character in Public Enemies was shot and killed by FBI agents. The theater and its programming celebrate artistic excellence. And throughout the year, visitors can enjoy watching an array of new plays and musicals.

Art Institute of Chicago

The Art Institute of Chicago has called the same building home since 1893, and it’s where Ferris and Sloan kiss in front of Chagall’s America Windows in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The windows are one of the museum’s most beloved treasures. Also, artist Marc Chagall designed them to honor America’s bicentennial.

Music Box Theatre

Finally, the Music Box Theatre welcomes visitors with its large neon sign and those who have seen High Fidelity will recognize it as the place where Rob and Penny watched a movie. It’s Chicago’s premier venue for independent, foreign, and classic films, and its ticket window takes visitors back in time to the 1920s.

These are just a few of the filming locations in Chicago that you can enjoy if you call Mondial River West home. Please contact us to arrange a tour of our community where you can see our amenities firsthand.
