Does your apartment look cluttered and crowded? It’s probably not a case of having too many things, but rather a case of a less-than-amazing storage system.
Utilize these apartment living tips to get your items off the floor and into their own places:
- Rattan bins are very popular right now. Bins alone, however, are not enough. Invest in a shelf or cube storage system to house the bins, and label the front of each bin for contents. Put ones that are safe for the kids to reach down low, and those that contain fragile items up higher.
- Use a hung rope ladder to store stuffed animals and extra pillows. Just loop them over the rungs and let them hang in style. You can also use a rope ladder to organize kitchen towels or wash cloths.
- If your closet is overflowing, try separating your clothes out into seasonal piles. Put only those clothes that are in season back into the closet. Keep the others under your bed in a storage container until it’s time to rotate collections.
